PIVOTAL EXPERIENCES
Hike in the Atlas Mountains
The hike in the Atlas Mountains was a transformative experience that made me reflect on the different challenges people face around the world, across generations. While some regions advance technologically, others thrive in their own ways—whether it's learning multiple languages to earn a living or living in remote areas untouched by crises like the coronavirus. So, who is truly wealthier? The person with the technology to cure a disease, or the one safe in their home, unaffected by it?
Mount Titlis
Whenever I meet people from Afghanistan or Pakistan, whether in London or on a snowy mountain in Switzerland, I feel this strong desire to ask if I can come visit. The response is always, "Make sure you do." Meeting the group of Afghans on Mount Titlis made me realise that, despite the struggles we often see on the news, the full story unfolds when you talk to someone from those countries. They light up when talking about their culture, offering warmth and openness. As shown in the photo, two of them are sitting, admiring a view that I can only imagine that region looks like from the stories my mum tells about the snowfall in Jalalabad. What is it about a simple conversation that can change the way we see an entire region?
Unraveling the Magic of the North: The Delhi to Amritsar Road Trip Discovery
As I watched the endless land stretch out, I could tell from the way people spoke—giving us directions with ease—that this was one of the strongest communities I had ever encountered. Whether living miles apart or in homes just feet away, they knew each other, understood the roads like the back of their hand, and held their traditions and values close. It was truly beautiful to witness such a deep connection to their land and to one another. What does it take for a community to stay so tightly knit, even when distances seem vast?

Ramadan Nightlife on Mamzar Beach
Regardless of nationality, this holy month brings people together through their shared faith. After hours of fasting, breaking the fast together is a time of safety, bonding, and joy for families. The simple act of sharing a meal with smiles and laughter highlights how powerful religion can be in uniting people across all backgrounds.
How often do we let our shared values bring us closer, rather than our differences?
